Awards & Rewards

Nunnery Wood aims to encourage and celebrate the success of all its students in all areas of school life, and to ensure that personal commitment and achievement is celebrated and rewarded.

All awards can now be seen on the Arbor application.

Star of the Week:

·         Students will receive a letter home and a points on Arbor. Star of the week is awards to students who have gone above and beyond within their lesson.

Merits:

·        Students are awarded Merits for going above and beyond with in lessons. Students will receive milestone certificates in assembly when they hit the next milestone

·         They can also be awarded for extracurricular activities/pastoral/community work 

The Merit Milestones are:

Bronze – 35

Silver – 45

Gold – 60

Sapphire – 80

Ruby – 100

Students will receive a certificate for each milestone.

Praise Postcards:

·         Can be given straight to the student or given to reception to post 

·         These are for students who have excelled within their given subject.

School Reports:

·         A summary of the Arbor merits and Postcards will be included with each full report 

Headteacher’s Tea:

·         Based on data analysis from each report cycle the top students in each year will attend Headteachers tea with Mr Powell, YTL and AYTL to celebrate their consistent excellent effort and behaviour scores in school reports. 

At the end of each year there is a celebration of student achievements through awards evenings. These celebrate students’ academic achievements as well as those who have done great things in our local community and for charity.
